A message from, Wear Rivers Trust

As described in our autumn newsletter, we worked last year with other members of the Wear Catchment Partnership to launch a new website about the story of the River Wear and how we can all make a difference to protecting it. The aim is to encourage people to think about the impacts that our everyday lives have on the quality of our water environment and to make suggestions about small changes we can make. It also signposts people to use Facebook and Twitter (if you’re into social media!) to share experiences, events and photos and ask questions or report problems/issues – anything relating to the Wear or its tributaries can be shared/asked and messages will be picked up by the Catchment Partnership and answered as best as possible.

Please browse the website then follow through to Facebook and Twitter and share the links with your friends and contacts so we can raise awareness of this resource and increase contributions. Some lovely photos have been posted to the Facebook page so it’s worth going on just to look at those and we’d love to receive more!

 Best wishes,

 The WRT team
